AllOn Energy provides N180 million – COVID-19: Solar Relief Fund to offer emergency power support to Nigerian healthcare sector
Nigerian off-grid energy impact investing company, AllOnEnergy, seeded by Shell, on Tuesday announced N180 million in assistance to renewable energy companies to provide solar power for emergency health centers in support of the response to fighting the #COVID19 pandemic, it stated in a tweet on it official social media handle.
The firm stated that the move became vital, particularly in critical time such as the COVID-19 pandemic the determination to accelerate fixing of the energy gap in the country, especially to ‘underserved’ and ‘unserved communities.’
“…It is even more critical to ultimately saving lives,” it stated.
The money would be disbursed through what it referred to as the Solar Relief Fund to the partners. They included Arnergy, Auxano, GVE Projects Limited and Lumous Nigeria.
Through the #COVID19 Solar Relief (CSR) Fund, All OnEnergy and Auxano Solar Nig. Ltd aims to contribute Solar Power solutions to aid in the containment & treatment of the virus.
